General       MSI offers packaged Seawater RO Systems using the latest in membrane technology and state-of-the-art control systems.  Capacities range from 50 - 300 m3/day (9 - 55 gpm), Permeate Recovery 30-45% and Operating Pressure 55 - 83 Barg (800 - 1,200 psig)

Note:
Rated capacities are based on 35,000 ppm seawater @ 25 oC (77 oF), operating pressure of 55-69 Barg (800-1000 psig) and Permeate Recovery 30-45%, depending on system size.

Equipment

The Packaged system is skid mounted and self contained.  The High Pressure Pump (HPP), Micron Filter, Low and High Pressure Piping as well as the Instrumentation and Controls are all mounted on the skid.  Local Control Panel (LCP) and Motor Starter Panel (MSP) are also mounted on the same skid. 

Cleaning System can be mounted on the SWRO frame or furnished as a separate skid.  

Up to Three Chemical Pretreatment and Post Treatment Systems are provided as standard feature, and can be mounted on the SWRO frame or provided separately.

Features

Pretreatment

Micron Filter and up to Two of Chemical injection systems are provided as standard feature.   Clarifiers and/ or Media Filters are optional. 

Main Treatment

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Separation System, using high rejection RO membrane elements

Post Treatment 

Up to One Chemical Treatment System is provided.  UV Sterilizer, Ozonation or Post Chlorination are optional

 Supporting Equipment   A dedicated Cleaning System is provided.  Depending on membrane system capacity, the cleaning system could be mounted on the RO support structure or on a separate skid

Instruments

Locally mounted primary elements, Monitoring and Control Instruments are mounted on the Local Control Panel (LCP)

Controls

PLC based microprocessor, located inside the LCP

Pretreatment

1.  Chemical Treatment:   Antiscalant and/ or Acid injection systems.
2.  Micron Filtration:  5 micron Cartridge filters in FRP or 316SS Housing.

Main Treatment
(RO Unit)

RO High Pressure Pump (HPP) Multistage Centrifugal or Positive. Displacement Plunger type.  Discharge pressure up to 1,200 psig.

1.  Membrane Elements: TFC High Rejection, High Flux 4" or 8" x 40" (D x L)
2.  Pressure Vessel Assemblies: FRP rated for 1,000-1,200 psig, housing the membrane elements.
3.  Support structure Structure: FRP or CS epoxy painted or powder coated, supporting the pressure vessel assemblies

Piping

 1.  Train mounted High Pressure piping: Fabricated of Sch 40 high grade SS, Duplex, AL6XN or 245SMO alloy steel
 2.  Train mounted Low Pressure piping: Fabricated of Sch 10 316L SS or  Sch 80 PVC

Valves

1.  Control Valves: Modulating, with Pneumatic or Electrical Actuator
2.  Auto Isolation Valves: Pneumatic or Electrical operator w/ Auto On-Off control
3.  Manual Valves: SS or Plastic, as required

 Instruments  Provided for continuous monitoring and/ or control of Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Level and Analytical parameters, such as pH, Conductivity, ORP, Turbidity, etc.
 Controls  Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), mounted inside the Local Control Panel (LCP)
 Electrical  Skid mounted Local Starter Panel (LSP), Junction Boxes and Miscellaneous hardware
